Traveling with Kids – Airplane carry-ons

I’ve noticed on Facebook (and other mommy forums) that ladies are always asking for ideas of what to take on the airplane to keep their little ones entertained for the flight.  So I thought I’d share what we bring on trips.

Rick and I travel with the kids quite a bit, and already have five trips planned for 2016.  Some are family vacations with Rick’s family, or mine, and the other trips are business related.

Our upcoming trip is both family and business related.  We are headed to Orlando for a music conference, and will also be visiting Rick’s grandparents who live close by.  We will be hitting up Disney World (for the first time) while we’re there, so that should be an adventure with three tots. 🙂

Travel kid carry ons

Last week I got a great deal on some ADORABLE backpacks for the kids to use as carry-ons.

Numbered Mikey

In Michael’s bag (11 months old)

  1. Diapers
  2. Huggies clutch n’ clean wipes – these refillable packs are awesome for traveling.
  3. Extra outfit – just in case. 😉
  4. His current favorite books by Bright Baby – I love these because they are bilingual. I don’t speak Spanish, but these are easy enough for me to teach him the Spanish word right alongside the English word. It’s one picture per page, which is all he can handle with books right now.  Attention span is still VERY short when it comes to books, but he will sit through these!
  5. Soft blanket — for snuggles and (hopefully) a nap.
  6. Bottle
  7. Squeeze fruit & veggie pouch
  8. Yogurt bites – non messy, and he loves them.
  9. His fave soft toy, a little dinosaur.

What keeps your kids entertained on the road, or during a flight?

Comment and let me know! 🙂
