This is the first in a series I’m going to be posting on the blog for 2019!
As you know, I share a lot of ideas and resources over on Instagram. Each month I want to post a summary of the information from Instagram here on the blog. I’ll include all the links so they are easy for you to access! I will do my best to put a blog up at the beginning of each month, and keep it updated as we go through that month.
This also insures that all the information I’m working to put out there for you is backed-up on something more stable than a social media platform. Social media is unpredictable at best, so this will preserve and organize everything for easy use.
I’ll start with a round-up of posts from the past month, and continue to edit and add to this post through the end of January!
You can contact me with any questions you might have via Instagram direct message OR by commenting here on the blog. I track and respond to both! 🙂
Education
Art for Kids Hub
Art Hub for Kids is a fantastic youtube channel for children to learn simple art and drawing techniques! It is a dad and his kids who make step-by-step instruction videos that are easy to follow. My 3, 5, and 6 year old all enjoy following along with the videos and creating their own art! I choose the simpler drawings for them, but if your kids are older than mine, they do have more advanced drawing as well.

Boogie Boards aka LCD Writing Tablets
We like to use these LCD writing tablets in school to write out spelling words, math problems, or simply draw. They are great for on the road too! After trying a couple different types of tablets, we’ve found that we like this brand best for it’s durability, price point, and the cover that saves the screen from getting scratched.
These are simple tablets that come with a stylus for writing. They do not have apps or connect to the internet, so they are great for young ones!

Collagen
I’ve been putting collagen in my coffee for the past year. It is amazing for hair growth, nails, skin, and joints. It also has 10g of protein in 1 scoop, which is the same as protein powders! There are many different brands of collagen on the market, but I love this particular brand because it is high-quality and tasteless! It also dissolves well in drinks. You can put it in coffee, tea, smoothies, or even in soup for added protein and lots of health benefits!

Baobab Powder for Smoothies or Lemonade
Full of antioxidants and vitamin C, this superfruit powder is the perfect immune booster for winter months. Throw it in a smoothie or make a quick homemade lemonade with it. Lemonade is my favorite way to take this citrus-y powder!
To Make Lemonade:

Spiral Hair Ties
When I chatted about these over on Instagram I heard back from so many of you. What I love about these is that they hold well in thick hair, and they are AWESOME for a good messy bun. When you use a spiral for your messy bun, you can tuck pieces of hair under the stretchy tie, and use very few (if any) bobby pins! This makes your bun much more comfortable to wear all day!
I picked mine up at CVS, but if you’re shopping online, you can find them {HERE.}

One Line a Day Journals
I’m making journaling more of a priority in 2019. However, I know myself well enough to know I will not write a journal page every day. What I’m doing instead is using One-line-a-day journals to jot down little memories throughout the year. I love the set-up of these journals because they last 5 years, and you can look back on what you were doing a year ago on the same day.
After getting a traditional one-line-a-day journal, I also went ahead and grabbed a Q&A a day of Moms journal, and the Q&A a day for Kids journal to do with my little ones.
Here are links if you’re interested in checking those out!
